Valencia CF had an all-important outing to Getafe in the race for a top-four finish on Saturday, February the 8th at 4 pm kick-off time at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez on Matchday 23 in LaLiga Santander.

Valencia CF had a nervy start to the game and were put on the back foot by the home side who upped the intensity and brought a sensational stop from Jaume Doménech inside seven minutes to deny Jorge Molina.

Valencia CF remained pegged back inside their own 18-yard box, giving the ball away with plenty of defending to do and trying to get on the counter-attack playing long balls in behind  the Getafe CF defence at every opportunity.

Jorge Molina made it 1-0 to Getafe CF just under the hour mark as Gonçalo Guedes replaced Rodrigo Moreno.

Minutes later, Jorge Molina made it 2-0 to Getafe CF on 65 minutes with Valencia CF picking up yellow card after yellow card and they were reduced to ten men with ten minutes to go.
